how to remove hotpoint washer tub

I have a Hotpoint washer and the tub is stuck. I have tried to jiggle and pull it out but it won’t budge. I’m not sure what to do next. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to remove the tub? I would really appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer. Thank you.

  1. I had a Hotpoint washer that had been giving me trouble for a while. I had tried all the usual fixes, but nothing seemed to work. I finally decided it was time to take the plunge and remove the tub.

I had never done this before, so I was a bit nervous. I read up on the process and gathered the tools I would need. I started by unplugging the washer and disconnecting the hoses. I then unscrewed the screws that held the washer tub in place. I carefully lifted the tub out and set it aside.

Next, I removed the agitator and the drive belt. I was relieved that everything was going smoothly so far. I then unscrewed the screws that held the transmission in place and carefully lifted it out. Finally, I removed the drive motor and the pump.

I put everything back together and tested the washer. To my relief, it worked perfectly
