I’m needing help understanding how to remove the agitator from my Amana washing machine. I’ve looked up instructions online, but I’m still having trouble. I’m not sure if I’m missing a step or if I’m not doing something correctly. Does anyone have experience with this type of machine and can offer some advice? I remember the first time I had to remove an agitator from an Amana washing machine. I was a little nervous, but I knew I could do it. I started by unplugging the machine and turning off the water supply. Then, I removed the top of the washer by unscrewing the screws that held it in place. After that, I located the agitator and removed the bolt that held it in place. I then used a pair of pliers to pull the agitator up and out of the machine. Once it was out, I was able to inspect it and make sure it was in good condition. After that, I put the new agitator in place and reattached the bolt. Finally, I plugged the machine back in and turned the water supply back on. I was relieved to have successfully removed the agitator from the Amana washing machine.
