I’m having trouble opening my kitchenaid front load washing machine. The door is locked and I can’t figure out how to open it. I’ve tried pushing the start button and unplugging it, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any advice on how to open the door? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a terrible experience with my KitchenAid front load washing machine. I was in the middle of a load of laundry and the door suddenly locked. I had no idea what to do. I had heard that this could happen, but I had no idea how to open the door. I tried pushing the door open, but it wouldn’t budge. I looked online for help, but nothing seemed to work.
I decided to call the manufacturer and ask for advice. The customer service representative was very helpful and explained that the door can lock if the cycle is interrupted. He told me to press and hold the start/pause button for three seconds, which would unlock the door. I tried it, and it worked! I was so relieved that I was able to open the door and finish my laundry.
