I have a Amana front load washing machine and the door is locked. I’ve tried to open it but I can’t seem to figure out what to do. I’m hoping someone can help me out and explain how to open the door. I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find the answer I’m looking for. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could provide me with some advice on how to open the door. I had a really hard time opening my Amana front load washing machine when the door was locked. I tried everything I could think of: pushing the door, pulling the door, jiggling the handle, and even banging on it. Nothing worked. I was starting to get frustrated and was about to give up when I remembered that I had read somewhere that the door could be opened from the inside. I opened up the back panel and sure enough, there was a latch that I could pull to release the door. I was so relieved that I had figured out the solution. Now I know that if I ever have this problem again, I can just open the back panel and release the door from the inside.
