how to drain kitchenaid dishwasher

I’m having trouble draining my KitchenAid dishwasher. I’ve tried running a cycle, but the water doesn’t seem to be draining. I’ve also checked the drain hose and it’s not clogged. Is there anything else I can do to make sure the water drains out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I remember the first time I had to figure out how to drain my kitchenaid dishwasher. I was a little nervous, but I knew I could do it. I started by unplugging the dishwasher from the wall and turning off the water supply. Then I located the drain hose and removed it from the sink. I inserted the hose into a bucket and used a pair of pliers to loosen the clamp. I then opened the dishwasher door and used a flathead screwdriver to remove the filter. After that, I used a wet/dry vacuum to suck out the remaining water. Finally, I reattached the drain hose and filter and plugged the dishwasher back in. It was a bit of a challenge, but I was proud of myself for figuring it out. Now I can drain my dishwasher with ease!
