how to drain a ge dishwasher

I have a GE dishwasher and I’m having trouble draining it. I’ve tried running it through a cycle, but it still doesn’t seem to be draining properly. I’ve checked the drain hose and it looks to be in good condition. I’ve also checked the filter and it’s clean. I’m not sure what else to do and I’m hoping someone can provide me with some advice on how to drain my GE dishwasher. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. To drain a GE dishwasher, first turn off the power to the dishwasher at the breaker box. Then disconnect the drain hose from the disposal or sink drain. Place the end of the hose in a bucket or pan and allow the water to empty out. Once the water has drained, reconnect the drain hose and turn the power back on.
