how to disengage rack supports from electrolux 36 oven

I’m having trouble disengaging the rack supports from my Electrolux 36 oven. I’ve tried following the instructions in the manual but I’m still having difficulty. I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and can offer some advice. Is there a trick to disengaging the rack supports or a certain tool I should be using? I’d really appreciate any help or advice that anyone can offer. Thank you.
