I have a Hotpoint fridge freezer and I’m having trouble defrosting it. I’ve looked through the manual but I’m still not sure what to do. Does anyone have any advice on how to defrost it safely and efficiently? I’d really appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Thanks in advance.
I remember the day I bought my Hotpoint fridge freezer. I was so excited to finally have a reliable and efficient appliance to store my food. Little did I know that I would soon be learning how to defrost it.
I started by unplugging the appliance and removing all the food. I then opened the doors and left them ajar so that the warm air could circulate. I was then able to use a hairdryer to gently heat up the ice and speed up the defrosting process.
I then used a cloth to wipe away the melted ice, making sure to get into all the nooks and crannies. I was careful not to use any sharp objects or harsh chemicals as this could damage the appliance.
Once I was done, I plugged the fridge freezer back in and left it to cool for a few hours. I was relieved that I had managed to defrost it without any problems.
