There are two ways to defrost a Frigidaire Gallery freezer: manually or with a defrost cycle. To manually defrost the freezer, unplug the appliance and remove all food and items from the freezer. Place a pan or bucket on the floor to catch any water that may drip from the freezer. Then, use a hair dryer to melt the ice buildup on the walls and shelves of the freezer. Once the ice is melted, wipe away any remaining water with a towel. To use the defrost cycle, press the “Defrost” button on the control panel. The freezer will then automatically defrost itself.
