I have an old Hotpoint dishwasher that I’ve been using for a while, and I’m having trouble cleaning the filter. I’m not sure how to go about it and I’m worried I might damage the dishwasher if I do it wrong. Can anyone help me out and explain how to clean the filter on my old Hotpoint dishwasher? I’d really appreciate any advice or tips that anyone can provide.
It was time to clean the filter on my old Hotpoint dishwasher. I had used it for years, and it had served me well, but I knew it was time to give it some TLC. I started by unplugging the dishwasher and removing the lower rack. Then, I located the filter, which was located at the bottom of the dishwasher. I used a screwdriver to loosen the screws that held the filter in place, and then I carefully removed the filter. I rinsed it off with warm water and used a brush to scrub away any debris that had built up over the years. I then put the filter back in place and tightened the screws. Finally, I plugged the dishwasher back in and ran a cycle to make sure everything was working properly. Now my old Hotpoint dishwasher is running as good as new!
