how to change a shock absorber on a frigidaire washing machine

I’m in need of some help. I’m trying to figure out how to change a shock absorber on a Frigidaire washing machine. I’ve done some research, but I’m still having trouble understanding how to do it. I’m not sure if I need to buy a new part or if I can just replace the existing one. I’m also not sure what tools I need to do the job. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  1. 1. Unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet and turn off the water supply to the machine.

    2. Remove the back panel of the washer to access the shock absorber.

    3. Loosen the mounting bolts that secure the shock absorber to the frame of the washer.

    4. Remove the old shock absorber and discard it.

    5. Place the new shock absorber in the same position as the old one and secure it with the mounting bolts.

    6. Replace the back panel of the washer and plug it back into the wall outlet.

    7. Turn on the water supply to the washer and test the shock absorber to make sure it is working properly.
