how to bypass the lid switch on a kitchenaid washer kaw

I have a KitchenAid washer, model KAW, and I’m trying to figure out how to bypass the lid switch. I understand that this is a safety feature, but I’m in a situation where I need to bypass it. I’ve looked online and read that it is possible, but I’m not sure how to go about it. Does anyone have any experience with this or know how to do it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
