how do you unlock a ge dishwasher

I recently purchased a GE dishwasher and I’m having trouble unlocking it. I’ve tried the manual and it doesn’t seem to be helping. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to unlock a GE dishwasher. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m hoping to be able to use my dishwasher soon and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. To unlock a GE dishwasher, press and hold the Start/Reset button for 3 seconds. The control panel will beep and the lock light will turn off.
