how do you put fabric softener in a hotpoint 3.8-cu ft top-load washer (white)

I recently purchased a Hotpoint 3.8-cu ft top-load washer (white). I’m having trouble figuring out how to put fabric softener in it. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to put it in the detergent compartment or somewhere else. I would really appreciate it if someone could explain to me how to do this. I’m hoping to get some advice on how to properly use fabric softener in my new washer. Thank you in advance for your help.

  1. I just moved into my new apartment and I was so excited to finally have my own washer and dryer. I was a little overwhelmed when I opened the box and saw my Hotpoint 3.8-cu ft top-load washer (white). I had never used a top-load washer before, so I was a bit intimidated. I read the instructions carefully and followed all the steps to get it set up. Once I had it all hooked up, I was ready to start washing my clothes.

I wanted to make sure my clothes were extra soft, so I decided to use fabric softener. I poured the fabric softener into the dispenser and started the wash cycle. I was a bit worried that I had done something wrong, but when the cycle was done, my clothes were soft and smelled amazing!

I was so relieved that I had figured out how to use the washer and was able to get my clothes clean and soft
