how do i tell if my hotpoint washing machine is broken or broke a belt

I’m having some trouble with my Hotpoint washing machine and I’m not sure if it’s broken or if it’s just a belt that needs to be replaced. I’ve noticed that the machine is making a lot of noise when it’s running, and it doesn’t seem to be spinning the way it should. I’ve also noticed that it’s taking longer to complete a cycle than it used to. I’m not sure if this is a sign that something is wrong or if it’s just a sign that the belt needs to be replaced. Does anyone have any advice on how I can tell if my Hotpoint washing machine is broken or if it just needs a new belt?

It was a relief to have the machine up and running again, but it was also
