I’m trying to figure out how to bypass the lid switch on a Hotpoint washing machine. I’ve tried looking online for instructions, but I’m having trouble understanding the steps. Does anyone have experience with this issue and can offer some advice? I’d really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

I recently had to figure out how to bypass the lid switch on my Hotpoint washing machine. It was an intimidating task at first, but I was determined to figure it out. After some research, I learned that the lid switch was the part that kept the machine from running if the lid was open.
I figured out that I could bypass the lid switch by using a jumper wire. I had to locate the correct terminals on the switch and then attach the jumper wire. It was a bit tricky, but after a few tries, I was able to get it right.
Once I had the jumper wire in place, I was able to run the washing machine without the lid switch being engaged. It was a great feeling to have figured out the problem and solved it. I was so glad that I was able to bypass the lid switch and get my washing machine running again.
