hotpoint fridge freezer how to set temperature

I am having trouble setting the temperature on my Hotpoint fridge freezer. I have tried to adjust it using the buttons on the front, but I am not sure if I am doing it correctly. I have looked through the manual, but I am still unsure how to set the temperature. Can anyone explain to me how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
