hotpoint dishwasher old model how to clean

I have an old Hotpoint dishwasher and I’m not sure how to clean it properly. I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find any specific instructions for this model. Does anyone have any advice on how to clean it? I’m concerned about using the wrong cleaning products or techniques and damaging the dishwasher. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  1. I remember my grandmother’s old Hotpoint dishwasher. It was a white, bulky machine that she kept in the corner of her kitchen. It was a bit old-fashioned compared to the modern dishwashers we have today, but it still got the job done.

I remember helping her clean it out every few weeks. We would start by unplugging it and then removing the racks and baskets. We would then scrub the interior walls and bottom of the dishwasher with a damp cloth and some dish soap. After that, we would rinse the interior with hot water and then dry it off with a soft cloth.

Finally, we would replace the racks and baskets and plug the dishwasher back in. Grandma would then run a cycle with some vinegar and baking soda to help keep the dishwasher clean and smelling fresh.

It was a lot of work, but it was always satisfying to see the dishwasher sparkling clean. Grandma’s old Hotpoint dish
