ge washer makes loud noise when agitating

I have a GE washer and recently it has been making a loud noise when agitating. I’m not sure what is causing the noise, but it is very loud and disruptive. I have checked the hoses and connections, but everything seems to be in order. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and if so, what was the cause and how did you fix it? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. The most common cause of a loud noise when agitating is a worn bearing or seal. This can be caused by a lack of lubrication, or by wear and tear over time. If the bearing or seal is worn, it will need to be replaced.
