I have a problem with my GE microwave. Whenever I close the door, the microwave turns on. I’m not sure what the problem is, but it’s been happening for a few weeks now. I’ve tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, but it still does the same thing. I’ve also tried resetting the settings, but that doesn’t seem to help either. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue? I’d really appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

No, a microwave will not turn on when the door is closed. The door must be opened and the start button pressed in order for the microwave to turn on.
