ge dryer makes noise when tumbling

I have a GE dryer that has recently started making a loud noise when it’s tumbling. I’m not sure what the problem is, but I’m hoping to get some advice from others who may have experienced the same issue. I’m worried that the noise could be a sign of something more serious and I’m not sure what I should do. I’m hoping to get some help from people who have had a similar issue and can provide me with some guidance on what I should do next.

  1. The most common cause of a noisy tumble dryer is a worn drum bearing or a worn belt. The drum bearing supports the back of the drum and can wear over time, causing the drum to rub against the casing, resulting in a loud noise. The belt can also become worn or stretched, causing it to slip and make a loud noise when the drum is rotating.
