I have a GE washer and recently it has been making a grinding noise when agitating. I’m not sure what the cause of this is and I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’m worried that it could be a major issue and I don’t want to end up paying a lot of money for repairs. Has anyone else experienced this issue with their GE washer? If so, what did you do to fix it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The grinding noise could be caused by a worn bearing, a broken agitator or a broken drive belt.
