how to clean agitator in ge washing machine

I have a GE washing machine and I’m trying to figure out how to clean the agitator. I’ve read the manual, but it doesn’t really explain how to do it. Does anyone have any advice on how to clean the agitator? I’d really appreciate any tips or suggestions. I’m worried that if I don’t clean it properly, it could cause problems with the washing machine. Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. To clean the agitator in a GE washing machine, start by unplugging the machine and removing the agitator cap. Use a damp cloth to wipe away any debris or residue from the agitator. Then, mix a solution of 1/4 cup of bleach and 1 gallon of warm water and use a sponge to scrub the agitator. Rinse the agitator with warm water and replace the agitator cap. Plug the machine back in and run a cycle with hot water and detergent to finish the cleaning process.
