I have a Hotpoint HDA2100R20WW dishwasher and I’m having trouble draining the standing water. I’ve tried running the drain cycle, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Is there a way to manually drain the water out? I’m not sure what else to do and would really appreciate any advice.

I remember the first time I had to drain standing water from my Hotpoint HDA2100R20WW dishwasher. I was so frustrated and confused. I had no idea what to do. I looked up some troubleshooting tips online and found out that the best way to drain standing water from the dishwasher was to unplug it from the wall and remove the drain hose from the back of the dishwasher. Then I had to take off the drain hose from the sink drain and place it into a bucket. I then turned the dishwasher back on and let it run until all the water had been drained. After the water had been drained, I put the drain hose back in the sink drain and plugged the dishwasher back into the wall. It was a relief to finally get the standing water out of the dishwasher and I was happy to have it running again.
