I have a Hotpoint washing machine and the agitator is stuck. I’m not sure what to do to remove it. I’ve tried to pull it off but it won’t budge. I’ve also tried using a screwdriver but it didn’t work either. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove the agitator? I would really appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.

I remember the first time I had to remove a Hotpoint washing machine agitator. I was so nervous, but I was determined to figure it out. I started by unplugging the machine and turning off the water supply. Then, I carefully removed the agitator cap. After that, I unscrewed the bolts that held the agitator in place. I used a wrench to loosen the bolts and then I was able to pull the agitator out. I was so proud of myself for figuring it out! After that, I was able to replace the agitator with a new one and my washing machine was back in working order. I learned a valuable lesson that day – never be afraid to tackle a repair job, no matter how intimidating it may seem.
