I had a terrible time trying to reset my Hotpoint washer. I had to figure out how to do it on my own since the manual didn’t provide any help. I started by unplugging the washer and leaving it unplugged for a few minutes. Then I plugged it back in and held down the start button for five seconds. After that, I had to press the power button and hold it for three seconds. Finally, I had to press the start button again and the washer was reset.
