I’m in a bit of a bind here. I have a Hotpoint washing machine, and the door is locked shut. I can’t seem to figure out how to open it. I’ve tried pushing the start/pause button, but nothing happens. I’ve also tried unplugging it from the wall, but that didn’t work either. Does anyone have any advice on how to open a locked Hotpoint washing machine door? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was recently faced with the challenge of opening a locked washing machine door. I had a Hotpoint model, which I had used for years with no issues. But one day, the door suddenly wouldn’t open. I was stumped. I tried all the usual tricks, but nothing worked.
After some research, I discovered that the door could be opened from the inside. I had to unscrew the back panel of the machine and reach inside. I was a bit hesitant, as I didn’t want to damage the machine, but I was determined to get it open.
I took a deep breath and carefully unscrewed the back panel. I was relieved to find that the inside of the machine was just as I expected. I was able to reach in and press the button that released the door. It opened with a satisfying click.
