how to test a timer for a kitchenaid washer kaws850lq1

I have a KitchenAid washer, model KAWS850LQ1, and I’m trying to figure out how to test the timer. I’m not sure what the best way to do this is and I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’ve tried looking online for instructions, but I’m not sure if I’m doing it correctly. I’m also not sure what type of tools I need to do the job. Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  1. I remember the first time I tested a timer for a KitchenAid washer. I was nervous, but I was determined to figure it out. I had read the manual, but I still wasn’t sure what I was doing. I started by unplugging the washer and removing the control panel. I then located the timer and carefully removed it. I used a multimeter to test the continuity of the timer, making sure that all the connections were working properly. After that, I reattached the timer and plugged the washer back in. I set the timer to the desired setting and then tested it by running a cycle. I was relieved when the timer worked correctly and the cycle completed without any issues. I was proud of myself for figuring out how to test the timer and I felt more confident in my ability to troubleshoot any future issues.
