how to clean pump flter in kitchenaid washing machine

I have a Kitchenaid washing machine and I am having trouble cleaning the pump filter. I have tried to clean it myself, but I am not sure if I am doing it correctly. Does anyone know how to clean the pump filter in a Kitchenaid washing machine? I would really appreciate any advice or tips that anyone could offer.

  1. I remember the first time I had to clean the pump filter in my KitchenAid washing machine. I was so intimidated by the task, but I knew it was something I had to do. I started by unplugging the machine and locating the filter. It was located behind the access panel on the bottom front of the machine. I removed the filter and inspected it for any debris. I saw a few small pieces of lint and a few coins. I then used a soft brush to remove any debris from the filter. I then rinsed the filter in warm water and replaced it. After that, I plugged the machine back in and ran a cycle to make sure everything was working properly. I was so relieved when the cycle finished and the machine was working again. Cleaning the pump filter in my KitchenAid washing machine was a daunting task, but with a little patience and knowledge, I was able to get it done.
