I recently purchased a Frigidaire Affinity washing machine and noticed that the drain hose is much longer than the hose on my old machine. I’m wondering why this is the case and what purpose the extra length serves. Is it just an extra precaution to ensure the water doesn’t overflow? Or is there something else that I’m missing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
The drain hose on a Frigidaire Affinity washing machine is typically longer than on other machines because it needs to reach further down into a sink or drain pipe. This is to ensure that the water is drained away properly and that no water is left in the machine after the cycle is complete.
