I recently purchased an Amana electric dryer and have been having issues with it not heating. I have already checked the power source and it is working properly. I have also checked the fuse and it is not blown. I have also checked the venting and it is clear. I am not sure what else to do to get the dryer to heat. I am hoping to get some advice from others who may have had a similar issue and can help me figure out what else I can do to get the dryer to heat. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
My Amana electric dryer has been a reliable appliance for years, but recently it stopped heating. I’m not sure what went wrong, but I’m determined to figure it out.
I started by checking the power cord and plugging it into a different outlet, but that didn’t help. I then checked the lint trap, but it was clean. I even checked the exhaust vent, but it was clear.
I then decided to take a closer look at the heating element. I took off the back panel and saw that the element was broken. I was relieved to have found the problem, but I was disappointed that I had to buy a new part.
I ordered the new heating element and replaced it myself. I was proud of my accomplishment, and the dryer was back to working like new. I’m glad I took the time to figure out why my Amana electric dryer wasn’t heating. I’m sure it will continue
