I am looking to install a new washing machine and am wondering what size drain pipe I need for an Amana washing machine. I have read that the drain pipe should be at least 2 inches in diameter, but I am not sure if this is the right size for my Amana model. I am also not sure if I should be using a PVC pipe or a metal pipe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased an Amana washing machine and was excited to start using it. I was quickly overwhelmed when I realized I needed to figure out the size of the drain pipe I needed to install it. I did some research online and found out that the drain pipe size for an Amana washing machine is 2 inches. I was relieved that I didn’t need to buy a larger pipe, but I was also a little disappointed that I didn’t get to go to the store and pick out a bigger pipe. I felt a little silly for being so excited about buying a pipe, but I was proud of myself for doing the research and figuring out the size I needed. I was also glad that I didn’t have to waste time and money buying the wrong size pipe. Now that I know the size of the drain pipe I need for my Amana washing machine, I can finally get it installed and start using it.
