model number ntw465oyq0 how to remove the top of amana washing machine

I am having trouble removing the top of my Amana washing machine, model number ntw465oyq0. I have looked online for instructions, but have not been able to find any. I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and knows how to remove the top. I would really appreciate any help or advice you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help.

  1. To remove the top of the Amana washing machine model number NTW465OYQ0, press the two release tabs located on the back of the washer lid. Lift the top of the washer lid up and away from the washer.
