I’m having a problem unlocking the lid of my Amana washer. I’ve tried pushing the start/pause button and the lid lock button at the same time, but nothing happens. I’ve also tried unplugging the washer and plugging it back in, but that hasn’t worked either. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to unlock the lid of my Amana washer. I was about to give up when I realized that I had to press and hold the “Start/Pause” button for three seconds while the washer was in standby mode. Once I did this, the lid unlocked with a satisfying click. I was so relieved that I had finally figured out how to unlock the lid. From then on, I was always sure to press and hold the “Start/Pause” button for three seconds while the washer was in standby mode before I attempted to open the lid.
