how to tell gear assembly is bad amana washing machine

I have an Amana washing machine and I’m wondering how I can tell if the gear assembly is bad. I’ve noticed that it’s been making a lot of noise and I’m worried that it might be a sign that something is wrong. I’m not sure if it’s the gear assembly or something else, and I’d like to know how I can tell. Is there a specific way to test the gear assembly? Are there any other signs that I should be looking out for that might indicate a problem? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

  1. If the gear assembly is bad, you may notice loud noises coming from the washing machine, the washer not spinning, the washer not agitating, the washer not draining, or the washer not completing a cycle.
