I have a Frigidaire front loading washing machine and I need to know how to replace the water inlet valve. I understand that this is a fairly common repair, but I’m not sure what the exact steps are. I’m hoping that someone can provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to replace the water inlet valve. I would really appreciate any help that anyone can provide. Thank you!
1. Unplug the washing machine from the power source.
2. Shut off the water supply to the washing machine.
3. Drain any remaining water from the washing machine by placing a bucket underneath the drain hose and disconnecting the hose from the back of the washer.
4. Remove the screws from the back panel of the washing machine to access the water inlet valve.
5. Disconnect the water supply lines from the inlet valve.
6. Remove the mounting screws and remove the old water inlet valve.
7. Install the new water inlet valve and secure it with the mounting screws.
8. Reconnect the water supply lines to the new inlet valve.
9. Replace the back panel of the washing machine and secure it with the screws.
10. Turn the water supply back on and plug the washing machine back into the power source.
