I had a terrible time trying to repair my Amana washing machine agitator. I started by unplugging the machine and then removing the agitator. I found that the agitator was stuck and wouldn’t budge, so I had to use some force to get it out. After that, I had to remove the agitator cap and then the retaining ring. I had to be careful not to damage any of the parts as I was removing them. Once I had the agitator out, I had to check it for any damage or wear and tear. Thankfully, it was in good condition, so I just had to put it back together in the reverse order. I put the retaining ring back on, followed by the agitator cap and then the agitator. I plugged the machine back in and it worked perfectly. It was a relief to have the agitator fixed without having to call a repairman.
