I’m having trouble removing the agitator from my Amana washer. I’ve looked up instructions online, but I’m still having trouble. I’ve tried to pull it straight up, but it won’t budge. I was in a real pickle. My Amana washer was acting up and I had no idea how to remove the agitator. After some research, I found out that it was a relatively simple process. First, I unplugged the washer and then I removed the top lid. After that, I located the agitator and unscrewed the bolt that held it in place. Once I had the bolt removed, I was able to lift the agitator out of the washer. I then cleaned the area and replaced the agitator with a new one. I secured the new agitator with the bolt and replaced the lid. I plugged the washer back in and it was ready to go. I was so relieved to have the agitator removed and my washer working properly again.
