I have an Amana washing machine and I’m having trouble figuring out how to clean out the water inlet valve. I’ve looked up some tutorials online but they all seem to be a bit different and I’m not sure which one to follow. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with this and could give me some advice on how to go about cleaning the valve? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I recently had to clean out the water inlet valve on my Amana washing machine. It was a daunting task, but I was determined to get it done. I started by unplugging the machine and turning off the water supply. Then I unscrewed the back panel and removed the water inlet valve. I used a small brush and some vinegar to scrub away any buildup or debris that had accumulated. Once I was satisfied that everything was clean, I reattached the valve and put the back panel back on. I then plugged the machine back in and turned the water supply back on. After a few minutes, I tested the machine to make sure it was working properly. Thankfully, it was! Cleaning out the water inlet valve was a time consuming and tedious task, but it was worth it in the end.
