I recently purchased an Amana washing machine and am having difficulty cleaning the barrel. I have tried using a damp cloth, but it doesn’t seem to be getting all the debris out. I looked up the instructions online and followed them step by step. First, I unplugged the machine and removed the agitator. Then, I used a damp cloth to wipe down the inside of the barrel. I used a soft brush to scrub away any dirt and debris that had accumulated. After that, I rinsed the barrel with warm water and a mild detergent. Finally, I wiped the barrel dry and re-installed the agitator. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. I now have a clean, debris-free Amana washing machine barrel.
