I have a Amana washing machine and it has a lock on the door. I need to bypass the lock so I can open the door and get to the inside of the machine. I’ve looked online for instructions on how to do this, but I haven’t had any luck. I’m hoping someone in this forum has done this before and can provide me with some tips or advice on how to bypass the lock. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was in a bit of a bind. My Amana washing machine had a lock on the door, and I had no idea how to bypass it. I searched online for answers, but nothing seemed to work. I tried to find a manual, but that didn’t help either. I was starting to get frustrated, but then I remembered that my neighbor had an Amana washing machine too. I called her up and asked if she knew how to bypass the lock on the door. She told me to look for a small hole on the side of the door. She said if I pushed a paperclip into the hole, it would unlock the door. I was so relieved! I found the hole, and sure enough, it worked. I was able to open the door and get my washing machine up and running again. I was so thankful for my neighbor’s help.
