frigidaire front load washing machine works great but when it spins it sounds like metal on metal

I have a Frigidaire front load washing machine that works great, but when it spins it makes a loud sound like metal on metal. I’m worried that something is wrong with it and I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried to adjust the load size and it didn’t help. I’ve also checked the balance of the load and it seems to be fine. I’m not sure what else to do, so I’m asking for advice. Does anyone have any experience with this issue and know what I can do to fix it?

  1. The most likely cause of the metal on metal sound is that the washing machine’s drum bearings have become worn out. This can be caused by overloading the machine, using too much detergent, or not using the correct cycle for the load. To fix this, the drum bearings need to be replaced.
