I have an Amana washing machine and the drain pump continues to run even when the machine is empty. I’ve tried to reset the machine, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’m worried that this might be a sign of a bigger problem, and I don’t want to end up with a costly repair bill. Has anyone else experienced this issue with their Amana washing machine, and if so, what did you do to fix it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I recently purchased an Amana washing machine, and I was so excited to use it. I loaded up the first load of laundry and started the cycle. Everything seemed to be going well until I noticed that the drain pump was still running even after the cycle was done. I was so frustrated because I had no idea what was wrong. I tried to troubleshoot the issue myself, but nothing seemed to work. I eventually called a repairman to come and take a look. After a few minutes of inspecting, he informed me that the drain pump was stuck in the on position and would need to be replaced. I was so relieved that the issue was something that could be fixed and was not a major issue. I am glad that I was able to get the issue resolved quickly and I am now enjoying the convenience of my Amana washing machine.
