amana refrigerator bottom freezer ice build up- how to fix

I have an Amana refrigerator with a bottom freezer and I’m having an issue with ice buildup. I’ve tried cleaning it out and defrosting it, but the ice keeps coming back. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue? I’m looking for any tips or tricks that might help me get rid of the ice buildup and keep it from coming back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  1. The most common cause of ice buildup in a refrigerator bottom freezer is a blocked or restricted drain tube. To fix this issue, you will need to locate and clear the drain tube. This can be done by removing the rear panel in the freezer compartment and inspecting the drain tube. If the tube is clogged, you can use a vacuum cleaner or a pipe cleaner to clear the blockage. Once the tube is cleared, replace the rear panel and the ice buildup should stop.
