how to remove agitator from frigidaire washing machine model #fws6969hwo

I’m having trouble removing the agitator from my Frigidaire washing machine model #fws6969hwo. I’ve tried to lift it up and out but it won’t budge. I’ve looked online for instructions, but nothing seems to fit my model. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove the agitator from my machine? I’d really appreciate any help I can get.

  1. Unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet. Remove the agitator cap by pulling it straight up. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the screws holding the agitator in place. Lift the agitator out of the washing machine.
