amana refrigerator/freezer ice dispenser is crushing ice when set for cubes

I recently purchased a new Amana refrigerator/freezer and I’m having an issue with the ice dispenser. When I set it to dispense cubes, it’s crushing the ice instead of giving me cubes. I’m not sure what the issue is or what I need to do to fix it. I’m hoping someone in this forum can help me out. I’ve tried adjusting the settings, but nothing seems to work. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
